A Print Shop Update.
Yesterday we dropped a car load of letters in the mail sharing some exciting news about our print shop. If you didn’t receive one today, don’t be alarmed, either we didn’t have your address or simply grew tired of licking envelopes before we reached your name. Either way, here is the letter a la digital for your daily reading excitement.
To Our Valued Customers,
We have some exciting news to share! After nearly a half century in the same location, Printers Specialty Services, Inc. will be moving. It was a difficult decision, but our current building was no longer an ideal location for our expanding business. In late June we purchased a building located in downtown Belvidere, Illinois. Since then, we have been remodeling it to create an environment that will better accommodate you, our customer. Furthermore, it provides the space to offer expanded services in the near future. We are excited to now be able to house just shy of twenty presses, the oldest being 122 years old.
As you can imagine, the moving process has been quite the adventure. We hope to continue to offer the same great service you’ve come to rely on as we make this transition. However, we would ask for your patience during the days of October 10th – November 1st, 2012, as we make the final transitions.
Furthermore, beginning November 1, 2012, Printers Specialty Services, Inc. will now be legally known as Locust Street Press. We would ask that you please update our contact and remittance information as soon as possible.

For your convenience, we will still welcome drop off and pick up service at our new location. Furthermore, we will be offering shipping services for those customers who cannot pick-up their orders. The shipping services will be a nominal addition to your normal charges.
We truly look forward to what this new adventure will bring us and hope you will join us on the ride. We will be hosting an Open House event after the New Year and look forward to introducing you to our new location then.

p.s. Please note that beginning this year we will have an annual two week winter shut down. The dates for this year are December 22, 2012 – January 7, 2013.
I told you it was exciting! And yes our arms, legs, minds, hearts … are all sore. In the next week we will wrap up moving around (we’re guessing) 80,000 lbs. That is like moving twelve average size elephants … piece by piece. Wowza! Thanks so much for joining in on the adventure and we hope you enjoy our new site!
